Description
It’s a beautiful day and everything is about to bloom. How about you? WRITE YOURSELF FREE is my 4 week in-person CREATIVE WRITING PROGRAMME. I believe you can write. I believe you can write yourself free, fearless, and often. This is a chance to prioritise your creative side, and make writing part of your life. No matter how busy your life. Whether the extent of your writing to date has been a novel, a form, or school essay. It’s for anyone who writes or wants to write.
Join me in my home every Friday morning for four weeks and I’ll send you home motivated, inspired, un-stuck, empowered in your creativity, feeling more confident, and ready to move forward, along with the tools for how. Whatever stage you find yourself at. Whatever your writing ambition.
Want to write but unsure of how to start? Want to create a regular writing habit? Trying to write but find it’s not going well for you? Want to start or move on with a big project, like a blog, or a book? In need of motivation and encouragement or simply want to explore your creative side through writing? Perhaps you’ve always wanted to write but never got round to it? Or used to write and want to get back there? Already writing but struggling with time, motivation, ideas, blocks, fear? Or maybe you just like the idea of structured time to write and expand your practice, with like minded creatives, in a pleasant supportive environment. Then this event is for you.
No matter how shy or introverted you are there is a special magic to creating together that is undeniable. I feel it any time I have the privilege of bring groups together. Person to person is my favourite way to support others in their creativity. And where better than in the comfort and creative surrounds of my kitchen. A space designed for and devoted to creative living.
This is the programme would have helped me starting out, and at several steps beyond that. And sadly I’m not sure I’d have found the courage. In fact I did try a creative writing class in Dublin years ago and felt so intimidated and out of my league that I never went back.
That’s why I want you to know that I’ve got you. You will not be a fish out of water, and I would never put you on the spot. Reading and sharing of work is always optional. I want you to feel like you’re just hanging out with a super helpful, inspiring friend, who believes in you and can help you on your path. I want you to leave here every Friday feeling uplifted, inspired, understood, ready and able to work.
I’ve designed this programme so you can take an intensive or relaxed approach. Work only on Fridays or continue on through each week. It’s entirely up to you and your personal writing goals.
Lots of people want to write but never get around to it. And did writing a book is one of the top things people say they want to do in life, but never do. The only way to do these things is to set aside time and get to it. The year is almost half over already, everything in nature about to bloom. How about you?

Joan Granger –
Jane, you know that I’m really not a writer. But if I was close to you I would be the first to sign up for this. It’s an alternative way for me to express myself, my painting is my first way. I hope many will join you for this workshop, they will have the time of their lives. I’m certain of it. Good luck, Joan G.
Jane –
That’s so nice of you to say, Joan, thank you. This post and event is actually from August and it was a great success. I hope to get it online at some point too. What I really need is to clone myself!
